Incorrect billing leads to legal action
Greetings. I had my contracts change to a top up plan earlier this year and was topping up as usual until May 2015 when my contracts were suspended because the allowed limit was exceeded. the customer care agent said that this is not a top up contact but and open line and i should pay up or go to store that assisted me with the contract. the Stanger MTN store reactivated my account and asked me to go to my bank and do a reversal as they have been dealing with such complaints regularly. They also told me that contacting MTN directly will not help as they are on strike. Now MTN tells me that i am handed over to legal because R14000 is overdue for over 90 days. the Stanger store now tells me that they did do the contact upgrade /downgrade but MTN did not pull the contracts through..
What is really frustrating is that when i dealt with the agent in store in Stanger I clearly told her to PLEASE ensure that this is done correctly because i don`t want these issues and she said she knows what she is doing don`t stress.
I also told her that at that time there was another contract that was due to be cancelled and i want that done aswell. she said that MTN is on strike.but call was logged.
