Incorrect Account due to *****

During October 2014 I realised that somebody had **********ly upgraded two of my MTN contracts. This was reported to the Kuruman MTN branch who took it up with MTN national office. Some corrections were made but at the end of November 2014 MTN once again charged me for the two ********** contracts.

I continued to pay MTN for the contacts that I did have despite the fact that MTN had disconnected me. So i paid whilst not receiving any service from MTN.

On 02/01/2015 I spoke to Sonia Kabelo at the call centre and explained to her what was going on - my service was restored and on 07/01/2015 I sent her a long email exactly stating what had happened.

My service has once again been suspended. According to my newest statement I owe MTN almost R3,000.00. In actual fact MTN owes me in excess of R1,500.00 due to payments that I had made despite not having service.

This has been dragging on for 4 months now without MTN being able or willing to sort out the issue. Calling the call centre and sending emails doesnt work, visiting the Kuruman branch also has no effect.

Hello jcqslabbert,

Thank you for posting.

Please accept our apologies for the delayed response and for any inconvenience caused.

Our records indicate that the ********** upgrade was reversed and your MTN account credited for usage resulting from the ********** activity on the 12th of November 2014 for R2720 Vat Incl.however, the charges that were incurred prior the upgrade on the 06th of September remained unpaid including the invoices after as two debit orders were not honoured. This includes the invoices after the credit was passed were also short paid and your account remains in arrears by R1789.81 as advised by the collections department.

In addition the termination date was amended to the original date and the contract for this line has been cancelled per the expiry date and the line migrated to prepaid i.e. the 071886****.

Regards,
Nomonde.
