incorrect account
I was handed over to lawyers by mtn for an account I know nothing of. Mtn never called me or communicated the alleged default with me. In my attempt to clear my name because now my credit status will be negatively affected I discovered that the account was incorrectly activatedby mtn. I app**** for a contract but was declined. Somehow after two weeks it was approved and activated. I never collected the device but mtn started billing me the subscription and data. I managed to get the store to acknowledge the mistake. A letter was sent to mtn queries as well as mtn legal. This was on Friday. Till today no one has contacted me. The onus was not on me to investigate but now that I have mtn has no urgency to resolve the matter. I would like the issue resolved as it is reflecting badly on my credit record. Ref ***7 A***
