Incompotent is to good a description for MTN services champions
I am not sure, should I cry or should I laugh as I have not came accross so much incompetence from a mobile serivce provider customercare depart than what I have experience from MNTN today.
I reported the death of my late father-in-law at one of the MTN stores. Were given the option to cancell his contracts, change it to prepaid, or transfer to another person. I opted to cancel two of the numbers and change another three of the numbers to prepaid. To finalise this, he registered everything and inform me that pending the duration of the various contracts there maybe a fee that have to be paid to finalise every thing.
I phone the customere care centre to enquiry on the outstanding amounts to enable me to settle the matter.
The first consultant transfered me to another department, that has got no intersted in answering their phones, waited 46min 32 sec just to be told they the wrong department I need to speak to legal department. Got transfered, but the call dropped before I could speak to anybody in Legal.
Phoned back and asked to speak to leagl department again. The agent informed me as I am not the rightfull owner of the contract he cannot assit me in transfering my call to Legal. Not sure since when deceased people can talk, did not know MTN now offer serices in Heaven and Hell. Must be the first and only mobile service provider that has got such service capabilities
Phone again, ask the next agent to speak to the Legal department. This time the response was: Sorry cannot transfer your call they do not have phones, and can only be contacted via email" now a Phone company with a whole department that has got no phones, really what a joke.
