*********** Staff
My husband passed away on the 6th December 2020 and I have to further deal with the incompetence of MTN staff. I don’t know whether to cry or scream and shout! This is the level of my frustration.
Since December I have been sent from pillar to post whether it be in the branch, customer service, legal department and 135 number with no joy.
My husband had three contracts with MTN and all I ask that the contracts be transferred to my name as I intended to keep the numbers. The week of the 11th January I visited the Greenstone branch three times and they were either off line or the person that could help me. On the 16th January we visited Greenstone again. We waited for an hour and 40 minutes because only one person’s computer was working and that person was helping all the customers, his name is Ruven whilst two ladies were on training and the store managers computer was also offline/not working.
Ruven eventually assisted in transferring the accounts to my name or thats what I thought which took another 30 minutes but the cell numbers that my husband had the contracts on are not working, all three numbers mentions service suspended as I cannot make calls since the time the minutes/data was uploaded.. The debit order did not even go through. I called MTN Greenstone and asked to speak to Ruven and he was on leave and nobody else could assist. The manager is forever not in or his computer is not working and the two ladies tells everybody they are on training. I sent e-mails upon e-mails and eventually on the 8th February i got a response from Prudence Ntuli that the contracts are still on my husbands...so what did Ruven do the day he "so called" assisted me and confirming the transfer.
If I receive a bill or debit more than I am supposed to for the month for the three numbers I will take this matter to the ombudsman. I am a single parent that is trying to manage my household and it still continue to keep the contracts but if the staff of MTN cannot do their jobs I will not pay the price for their irresponsible or incompetency.
MTN and their staff have stressed me so much besides coping with my husband passing away i have to deal with this and still not get a response. i'm hoping somebody at MTN can resolve this.
