*********** service provider

On Saturday 5th August I app**** for an MTN contract at the iStore at The Glen shopping mall as MTN did not have any ipads. I was then told that they had to apply for a higher limit as my limit was R2000 and the new contract would push me over this limit. I also phoned MTN directly to try and resolve the issue and the call centre operator said she would apply for a limit increase there and then. Furthermore, I went to the MTN store at The Glen on Sunday 6th August. I spoke to the manager and she told me outright that she could not help me. The fact that a store manager cannot help a customer indicates either total incompetence or laziness or both. I have just phoned the call centre again, only to be told that they cannot help and I need to go back to the iStore (at least the 4th time I have phoned the call centre). Obviously MTN are totally uninterested in their customers, a fact proven by their dismal financial performance. I am sick and tired of their lack of customer service. This weekend I will be going back to the iStore to cancel the MTN contract and take one out with another service provider. The ironic thing is that if I waited another week, I would be given the iPad contract for the simple reason that when my cellphone contract is up for renewal on 29th August, I fully intend to cancel it as I no longer wish to deal with *********** service providers like MTN.

The previous credit limit was for R1583.99 and not R2000.00.

Best regards,
