INCOMPETENCE, THY NAME IS MTN
Your records will reflect that whenever I have a complaint, it is only about one company…MTN
Today is no different, because true to form, MTN has done it again. In fact, they have outdone themselves.
I sent an application for a new data plan on 15 July.
By 21 July I sent a follow-up enquiry, and had no response.
Upon sending my second follow-up on 23 July, I was advised that certain portions of the form were not signed. It was clearly too much for them to send an SMS to advise me of this.
They claimed that their warehouse had no stock of the router that came with the plan, and I even agreed to collect it from their store at the Glen. This took place on the 25th of July. On this day, I was told to wait for about 24 hours for the data to be activated.
When this didn't happen, I spoke to a guy in their Call Centre named Moagi (not sure of the spelling). His rudeness and unprofessionalism was only matched by his incompetence.
I have complained on numerous occasions now and threatened to take further action, but MTN doesn't seem to care.
Kenneth Mashiloane, the store supervisor, has also added his little apology, but still I have had no joy.
From day 1 they claimed that the router is the problem, yet, when the SIM is inserted into other devices, the data still cannot be accessed.
Today is the 13th of August, and I have not enjoyed one minute of this new plan. I have, however, received a ridiculous bill in respect of it.
No one remembered to stop the billing process, yet they claimed to be hard at work trying to resolve the matter.
What should I do to get MTN to get their act together.
