Incompetence (change debit order)

MTN has still not resolved or responded my previous complaint on hollo peter <https://www.hellopeter.com/mtn/reviews/incompetence-at-mtn-dfeb45a***5a9caaead5ca729881a816363f09a5-***> or my complaint email, both of which were only sent after 3 months of problems. Now another month has passed, nothing is resolved, mtn has not even had the courtesy of responding to my problems.

I would have though changing a debit order would be one of the easiest things in the world. For each of the other 9 debit orders that I have there was not problems at all. MTN has still not managed to fix it 4 months later.

Due to the incompetence of MTN: - I have had my phone suspended twice due to a "rejected debit order", I cannot tell you how embarrasing it is to need to ask a customer to use his phone because mine is blocked - I have been charged for 4 months of admin fees for the "rejected debit orders" - I have requested for 4 months that these rejected debit order fees be reversed but nothing has happened - I have spend may hours both at the MTN store and on their support phone number (083-135), usualy I am told that there is no problem

On my side I did all of the required due diligence - I checked multiple times before closing my old account that the debit order was correct - When I noticed that the first debit orders did not run I phone to find out what the problem was and was informed that there is no problem but the debit order takes time to reflect - I have confirmed the banking details at least 10 times with various different people - I have even confimed with the new bank if perhaps the debit order request has been blocked by the bank (it has not, the debit order request was never made, but in confidence one of the mtn staff has confirmed that MTN is still debiting the old bank account which no longer exists)

I will vocally recommend avoiding MTN where possible, this is the worst service that I have ever received. It is a pity that a 1-star review is the lowest that I can give on hello peter, they don't even deserve that.
