Incompetence at its best
Incompetence of an organization obviously stems from poor management which is ascribed to poor leadership, inadequate resources, unclear expectations, lack of motivation and engagement and lack of accountability. And it all goes back to management at all levels, but it obviously starts at the top. SSDA alleges that they represent MTN and once an agreement is reached with them, accordingly to MTN have no authority. Then SSDA commits a *****. After a line was suspended for non-payment the full outstanding amount was paid on the 3rd of March 2023, with daily and hourly reassurances that the lines will be reconnected, but it simply did not happen, what is worse is that a manager at a branch was treated with the same disrespect and simply cut-off speaking to customer service (One single individual that actually attempts to assist, maybe make him the CEO). After the full outstanding amount was paid as demanded by the MTN office and confirmed by the manager and legal department that there is no outstanding amount, the phones were simply not switched on. It takes between 20 and 40 minutes per call to simply get to the same *********** personnel that can’t give one a straight answer and have no authority to resolve the problem. The complains pertaining to the overall pathetic service we are forced to receive in a majority or services in South Africa can only be ascribed to poor leadership and the failure to be held accountable.
