Incompetence and no common sense from MTN workers

On the 26th of January 2017, I was told that I had to pay an amount of a contract that had come to an end on the 1st of December 2016. That was freaking annoying but whatever I called in an dpaid the dam amount and asked that, that month-to-month nonsense of being on a contract be cancelled. I was reassured that it would be cancelled yet now I am stuck with the same issue of having to pay for something that I thought had been cancelled. I just called now, speaking to a guy named Lindi/Linda and he now tells me that after the payment, I was then meant to call back and ask for them to cancel this contract nonsense. I was not told by the other consultant (Buitumelo), who was helping me (or lack thereof) that I was meant to call back the next day to tell him yet again to cancel. I thought it was already sorted and also, I do not understand why I have to run after the mtn workers to do their jobs?? Please can somone tell me why clearly common sense and accountability are not strong points with these people and why is it now someone not having done their job right, how that is now my problem? I have had it up to here with mtn and their *******. This is not the first time that I am just being extracted for my money. Also, whatever happened to the axiom of "the customer is always right? Mtn you people are really just *********** and a waste of time for me. Thanks to this *******, I will be porting to another network.
