Inadequate MTN support services

I was very happy with my Data contract for almost thee years at MTN. Until one day I received a sky high account after I never had to pay more than my agreed debit order.
After some investigation on my e-account I realized there is another person registered on my account. I Immediately made my way to the MTN Menlyn shop to enquire what the problem was. this was on 19/06/2015 (wile the employees was on strike). I had to wait almost two hours for service and finally when I got service decided to terminate my contract with them.
I now have a outstanding account with MTN after 7 months where MTN never updated that the contract is cancelled. MTN also feel that I have to settle this account after I have explain to them there has been ***** committed on my account.
This after I have logged three calls with MTN direct urgently requesting legal to contact me. I had to literally beg switch board at MTN to put me to there legal department.

MTN scores a zero on customer care I will not recommend any of there services to anyone. There account department is so confused regarding my problem they can not give me any answer or way forward.

I guess MTN is a sinking ship.

Hello andre.kotze47,

Thank you for your post.

We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it has caused.

Kindly be advised that your contract line was not cancelled due to your account being in arrears. The out of bundle rate increased to R 0.99 including VAT as of the 1st of April 2015, which could be one of the reasons your data billing was high. The system shows that the legal consultant requested that you settle the amount of R 2432.99 and they will close the file and update your payment profile with the Credit Bureaus.

Rest assured, it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.

Regards,
Ayanda
