IMPOSSIBLE TO GET THROUGH
10/04/15 - Friday am .. thought I lost my cell. Called MTN and had my cell blocked and suspended. 10/04/15 Friday afternoon.. found my cell. Could not get through to MTN to advise them of the fact. Went to MTN Edenglen Saturday morning with an Affidavit signed by Police verifying the fact that I found the cell. Asked MTN Edenglen to Unblock and remove suspension. They unblocked but could not lift suspension which had to be done by Head Office. No one could tell me how long this would take. Got home and could use the phone for incoming and outgoing calls. Went back to Edenglen on Monday and they could not tell me why the suspension had not been lifted or how long it would take. I was furious and wanted to cancel my agreement but decided to wait one more day. When I got home my cell was not working at all... could not make or receive calls. Spent hours trying to get through to Head Office. After holding on for 15 minutes it just cuts off. Dial again and again and again and the same thing happens. Has anyone else had this kind of lack of service from MTN???

Thank you for taking time to raise your concerns with MTN, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused as result of the breakdown in the service delivery in one of our touch points.
Kindly note that the handset was blacklisted on the 09/04/2015 as per your request. On the 15/04/2015 there was an un-blacklisting that was processed and feedback sent to the dealer. The process for handset to be un-blacklisted then would be for the handset to switched off for a period of 72 hours before use again. Hope that all is in order by now and handset is working as per normal.
