impossible to cancell a contract
It is impossible to cancel a contract with MTN. Month end of September I phoned cancelling the contract. The lady I talked to advised me to first clear the debt. I did so on the 15th October. On the 16th I phoned and a guy promised me that I will get a call after 3 days. No one phoned me. On Sunday I phoned again the guy told me he will escalate the case to contract department as they will be open on Monday, nothing happened until I phoned again. The guy I spoke to promised me that I will get a call soon and very soon, nothing has happened again. He gave me a reference number ***. <br> Please I want this contract cancelled as it is too expensive for me

Thank you for your post.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced with our service.
Thank you for your time on line.
I have explained the notes that we can pick up on the account. The cell number has been converted to pre-paid, allow +-2-24 hours for the network to pull this through. SMS will be sent to you to notify you. Airtime and data can then be loaded.
The payment for R1800.00 has been received and reflect, the account has been in credit with R733.44. The invoice for October ha been allocated and the credit for R733.44 has been used against the October invoice.
The account balance is now R 2,100.69. This will be the last invoice for the account.
Kind Regards,
Alice van der Merwe
