In November 2013 I went on a business trip to Germany and flew back through Amsterdam. I was using my personal phone on roaming. During a space of 3-4hrs at the Amsterdam airport thinking I was on wifi from the airport and started to do an update on my phone the update was 1083 KGB. When I got back to South Africa a week later my done was soft blocked, this I could not understand because I had a R9000 limit on my cellphone account and was no way I have used that much overseas. I called Mtn and the told me my bill was R127000 inclusive of vat. The vat alone was almost R 15000. I disputed and logged a query, the report I got was mind boggling. I supposedly download over millions of data.
I tried to dispute but they said I am liable, I then agreed to pay over the next 6 myths because I needed my fine for work and did want to be blacklisted.
Does anyone know how I can get help to dispute and get
my money back or part of. This type of bill is impossible and there is no ombadsman to help.
