*******ly targeting underage children

I currently have 5 MTN accounts, one cell phone for myself, one cell phone for each of my 3 children (all minors) and a wifi contract.

All three of my children’s contracts were taken out on the basis that they were limited and capped and that if additional airtime or data was required, that they would need to top this up. At no stage was I prepared to incur additional charges on the accounts.

Its recently come to my attention that MTN has been sending my children SMS’s stating that they can increase their Usage Limit by dialing *141*1*7852#

Please explain what the hell you guys are trying to pull here? I have taken out contracts and limited the Rand value that can be spent, however through ************ practices, you have now found a way to use sneaky practices get more money from your customers.

I have signed a legally binding contracts for each of my phone contracts. What gives you the right to entice a 10 year old child to increase the spending limit on a cell phone contract that is legally in my name?

I want these charges reversed ASAP and the SMS’s to stop with immediate effect.

Hi Alice van der Merwe, I appreciate your response and goodwill gesture. You rep**** privately to me with the following message "We have placed a goodwill credit for R632.92 against the account and this cover for both lines data charges from May to July 2016".
Please can you let me know when this will be done as the full amount was deducted from my account at the end of July.
thanks
