Ignoring hellopeter and facebook messages
You deactivated a SIM card without sending an SMS warning about the 90 day rule. With no notice, there was no way I could know the SIM card was going to be deactivated. I contacted MTN after the SIM card was shut off, but before it was reassigned. You reps confirmed this. They told me I could SIM swap it, but then refused to help my sister because she is black and has a different surname from me, a white male. I contacted MTN about this (over email) and was told my number could be saved (since it had not been reassigned) and to wait for feedback from tech support. While I was waiting the number went from "unassigned" to "recycled." So you gave away a number that you promised you were going to restore to me. Now your reps tell me to call 173, but I've told them that I'm outside the country and you know I don't have a working SIM card. So how the hell am I supposed to call 173? I also know that there's nothing you can do to fix this now, so I'm only interested in what you plan to do to make it better? Will corporate try to get my number back? Will they send me a new SIM card in the USA to apologize for their mistake? Will they try to turn my SIM card back on with a new number? Your company seriously messed up here and hurt a charity in the process. All I'm looking for is accountability.
