IDIOTS @ WORK

I've argued with many dunderheads before but today's argument is definitely up there, amongst the top 3. I called MTN's cancellation department to cancel a Fixed LTE contract because MTN South Africa cannot provide a service during loadshedding. I explained to the lady that I'm paying for a service which MTN cannot provide. She insisted that MTN is providing the service for which I am paying. I then asked her to explain how MTN could be providing the service when the LTE Router disconnects during loadshedding, even though the router remains powered by means of a UPS? She insisted that the problem was not on MTN's side, but on mine. I asked her if I had any control over the Tower and how it could be my fault that MTN stops providing a signal when their Towers go off. We agreed on one thing; loadshedding is not my fault and neither is it MTN's fault but to insist that the problem is on my side is ludicrous. It's preposterous. LADY, YOU'RE A DUNCE!!!! MTN South Africa, upskill your staff and make it clear to them that if the Towers go offline during loadshedding, it's NOT THE CUSTOMER'S PROBLEM. I keep my router on; you can't keep your Towers on and please, don't give me that "the batteries don't have sufficient time to fully recharge or the batteries were ******" excuse. I DON'T CARE! You have no problem in debiting my bank account for services NOT PROVIDED and this clod whom I had the absolute displeasure of dealing with today, has the audacity, the nerve, to tell me the fault is on my side.

Reviewer Update
On the 26/02/2023. I wrote to your Coverage Department, your Retentions Department and your Customer Service. This is what I wrote:
1. Why, during loadshedding, are you usually unable to provide me with a Fixed LTE Service? SOMETIMES the internet remains connected during loadshedding and other times, NOT.
2. Why, when Eskom restores the power, does the Fixed LTE Router go OFFLINE for about 5 minutes AFTER the power come back on? My ZTE Router remains powered-up all the time by means of a UPS so please do not state the obvious. The ROUTER REMAINS ON THROUGHOUT LOADSHEDDING but your LTE service AND your Mobile Data service FAILS. Yes, my Mobile Data on *** also usually fails during loadshedding.

AND THIS IS HOW YOU RESPONDED:
Yello Millar, Anthony ,
