I was misled by one of your consultants
My contract with MTN ended on the 11th of August 2015 . On the 6th of August I received a call from an MTN sales consultant offering me a new package . I was on R186 and he offered me R19 airtime and 25 smses . I agreed . he never mentioned the word upgrade and he told me that at the end of August i will only pay R19 . I was charged R186.00 at the end of August and when i called the call centre they say R93 is an upgrade fee .I didn't even know that i was doing an upgrade .. I called 808 and I was referred to retentions because i wanted to cancel the contract since I dont know if they'll stick to R19 again this month. I called retentions and i was referred back to 808 and finally Lewis from 808 decided to send a request to cancellations ref *** on Monday the 14th of Sept . I'm still waiting for feedback . The upgrade fee should be reversed and I dont want the contract anymore and would like to change to prepaid . Please assist .

We are sorry to have disappointed you , but unfortunately due to the T/C of the contract that you agreed on for 24 months you are liable to pay the once of upgrade charges ,then only on the next bill you will starting paying the amount on the contract and if you cant to cancel your contract you'll have to pay the early termination fees .
Kind Regards
