I WANT MY PHONE
I took out a contract with MTN 2.5 years ago and took an iphone 5 phone. A couple of months later i had problems with the on/off button and booked it in for repairs. i was later told that i had to pay about R3k to have the phone fixed and as i did not have the money i requested the phone be returned and ill have to deal with having a phone with a button that does not work. after the expiration of the contract i wanted to trade in my phone at the istore for an iphone 6 and was informed by them that the phone was part of a recalled batch because of the faulty on/off button, they told me to go to MTN for a new phone as they issued the phone. i took the phone to MTN were i was told they know nothing about this and i must book my phone in as the repair centre would probably know about the recall. the phone was booked in 11/05/15 and returned 8/09/15 (almost 4 months latter after explaining myself to the repair centre countless times) with a button that still does not work and now im being given the run around when i bring up the fact that the phone was part of a recalled batch. thanks alot MTN, ive been a loyal customer for over 7 years and this is how i am treated.
