Just a quick correction: When a phone is lost / ******, you need to firstly suspend the line by dialling 083 1 808 from a land line (or 808 from another mobile on the MTN network).
MTN will then immediately suspend your line and no calls can be made from your phone. When you report the ****** phone, the agent will give you a reference number that you need to add to your police case number.
For MTN to blacklist your handset - we will require the IMEI number (serial number) of the phone. This number you will find on the original paperwork and / or the original box the phone was purchased in. (Without IMEI number confirmation, phones cannot be blacklisted)
As for your airtime, have you been accessing internet ? (e-mail, youtube, facebook etc ) because: if you didn't purchase a DATA bundle with airtime, then the airtime you recharged daily is actually used for the Internet access and you will be charged \out of bundle rates\"
