I received 30GB data but got billed

Hello.

I received a sms I got 30GB data from MTN from upgrading, and I have 19.93GB data left. I then started using the data until I have 19GB left up until this point.

This morning I received a sms from MTN that I am being billed R1121.00 for exceeding 50%25 of my credit limit.
How is it possible that I am being billed for using \FREE\" data from MTN?

I then called the 808 help line, tried to get hold of somebody to assist me and to find out whats going on to be told that I cannot be helped.

At this point I am done with MTN, after upgrading to a Samsung S7 and being billed for FREE data is unacceptable. Could somebody please contact me and let me know whats going on, I am not going to pay for \"Free\" data that was given to me."

Hello Dragon_*****,

Thank you for your post.

We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it causes.

Kindly be advised that the value of 1121.00 is the credit limit set by the service provider, it is not money due. Please note that the sms received is a notification that you reached 50% of the unbilled invoice. Be advised that the unbilled invoice is not what will be deducted at the end of the month as discounts are not yet app**** on the account.

We would like to assure you that we are actively working to improve our service levels.

Regards
Nompumelelo
