I'm done with MTN

It all started in 2013 when I got my upgrade to my brand new Note 3 device. during said upgrade the consultant enquired as to whether I would like insurance on said device, I responded to the affirmative, for obvious reasons.

Come 2015 my phone gets ******, I think all is well nobody was hurt and thankfully I was insured. Next day I go to the police station, etc. A week later MTN gets back to me and tells me that the phone is under insured. Now this is where one finds the best example of incompetence, in a backward company. They tell me that the phone was valued at R9 000.00 however I (not them) insured it for R5 000.00. I am terribly sorry but if a person asks if you want that phone insured, at WHAT POINT would you want to insure something for half the value of what it is worth. NOW instead of replacing my phone they are completely satisfied with themselves that they have managed to ***** me! and the best part is that when you ask anyone working there what is going on they simply say that they do not know, GOOD ANSWER! Thanks for the help!

I have been loyal for 20 years and I have had enough!

Hello paul.robak,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I am terribly sorry for the inconveniences experienced as a result this. I completely understand the frustration it causes. The matter has been escalated to the insurance management team for urgent investigation. They will contact you directly with feedback and an action plan.
