I just want out... I am done with MTN

I have a couple of issues bugging me with MTN, but my biggest issue is the last premium MTN wants before cancelling my contract.
I have phoned more than a month ago to confirm that I am done, and completely dusted when my contract expires.
I was told just to go into the shop and it will all be sorted.
Get to the shop, was told to phone 808, on hold for 15 minutes.
Filled in form and was SHOCKED to be notified that I have an outstanding premium.... I was told there would not be one.

I have logged the complaint on the MTN website aswell and it seems like I am getting a quicker response time on hellopeter.
How can you allow your staff to give me incorrect information and your response is... pay or face legal fees.
So... this is what one gets after being with a service provider for 8 years?
