I have a R1246 credit with MTN

I have been severely mistreated by MTN and i am very disappointed at the service.
First my problems started when i added the number *** in December 2013 to my account which i always had the one number ***. Rolling forward to currently... On 9 October 2014 i made a EFT payment to MTN's ABSA account to the amount of R1246.00 *** Details W*** (i.e R89 Promo Service FEE for Oct 2014 to Dec 2014... 14 months) after i have spoken to Rhulani Makhosini about my desire to migrate from an OPEN (MTN 100) line to a TOPUP (MTN 100 TopUp) line. Thank you very much my brother for a wonderful service. Thought the number *** was migrated by Rhulani as promised since i was charged a Migration fee (R99 incl VAT @ 14%) on invoice E*** dated 13/11/2014, but I was still charged Promo fee until I upgraded the simcard.
Now in 2016, I would like MTN to use my R1246 credit so that I can finish it and not be forced to upgrade on the next cycle. Currently my subscription is R219 for 2 lines. I would like to use the credit to pay for the next 5 months and so (i.e. 219 X 5 = 1095 Feb - June 2016 & 151 July) and I will pay the 68 for July and carry on.

Hello Britishkk,

Thank you for your post.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced with our service.

Please take note that you only had one number *** activated on the account until December 2013. On this line no promo fee service fee has been charged. On the 13-12-2013 you added another number *** and promo fee is included in the subscription fee. At the time cell *** was on open package. The usage limit was set up 13-1-2015 to change to Top Up. Migration fee will be charged once the package change from high to low package.

Note that the payment for R1246.00 is not a credit due to the account this payment done due to the previous package was charged for promo fee and before the package can be migrated to Top Up the full amount for promo fee should have been paid over.

Kind Regards,

Alice van der Merwe
