I had to buy an MTN employee airtime to do her job
Last week Sunday my phone was suspended, after paying the bill a few days earlier. I went to an MTN shop in Norkem mall, the lady told me the MTN billing system is a mess and im not the first one complaining about this. She did something and a few minutes later and my phone was working again. 2 days later my phone was suspended again, this time while I was away. I had to drive 70 KM to the closest MTN shop in Tabazimbie. The person there didn’t really want to help, I provided her all my proof of payments again. I asked her to call the Norkem shop for me to see why this happened again and why my proof of payments were not sent through. I was told she doesn’t have airtime to call another MTN shop. I had to give her R50 to buy airtime before she would call for me. I actually had to buy an MTN employee airtime for her to do her job, unbelievable. Nothing was done and I left with a suspended phone. The next day I managed to find someone else to help me sort this out. I have been with MTN for 15 years and things are just getting worse every month. Your employees don’t want to help. Unfortunately I recently upgraded one of my contracts but my other 2 are up next year and after this experience I think it’s time to move on.
