I cancelled my contract, yet legal action is taken against me.

<p>Last year I cancelled a contract with MTN and paid all the fees. I received written confirmation from the Retentions Dept that the cancellation was done.</p> <p> </p> <p>Today I received the following mail - please explain:</p> <p> </p> <p>Our ***</p> <p> </p> <p>Good day</p> <p>Your MTN account has been handed over to Hammond Pole Attorneys with an instruction to start legal action against you.</p> <p> In order to settle this matter out of court and to prevent further costs and penalties, we need to secure a repayment arrangement which is acceptable to our client.</p> <p> Please make contact with us immediately to finalize this agreement enabling us to pend any further legal action.</p> <p> Please treat this mail as urgent.</p> <p> </p> <p>Regards,</p> <p> </p> <p> Jacob Shihangule</p>
