I canceled my contract but MTN is still charging me for the service

I started my cancelation process for my MTN Month to Month Home Internet contract on Aug 29. On the same day I returned my router to the store and received an IRMS number for me to provide to their call centre to go forward with the process. After forwarded to multiple agents nd departments, I eventually got someone to help me cancel the contract. I was told that it would take 10 to 14 days for this to be completed. I received an email that it was cancelled on 30 Aug. However I received an SMS saying sms that my device has been repaired and dispatched back to the store, which does not make sense since I returned it the store for cancelation not repairs. My problem now is that on 04 September and 04 Oct I was debited for a contract that was supposed to be canceled more than 30 days ago. Today when I call to check why am I still being charged for a service I am not using and have canceled, I am told that my cancelation is still pending and that they will continue to debit me until it is approved on their side. I was told that MTN has a backlog on their system and thus have no idea when this will go through. So that means they will continue to charged me until the backlog has been fixed. There was no communication from MTN to me about this. This is unacceptable. MTN has reached new levels of abb****nt customer services. From the rude and unhelpful service agents to a system backlog that I am literally paying for. This is their legacy now. I just want this to be canceled completely and to be reimbursed my money from MTN! I am student and cannot afford to lose any little money that I have.
