How hard does it have to be to join MTN?!?

<p>I have been trying to port my current number to MTN. I bought a SIM pack which stated that I have to send my KIT number to ********** 287. So I did this. Then I get a message that it is wrong and I should actually send PORTME#sim number. Which I do. I get no response this time. So, the next day I slip in my new sim and get a NEW number from MTN. For no apparent reason. So I go and buy another SIM - going through all the same RICA ****. Same thing. So I try and call them on 083173 to get assistance BUT you can't because you can ONLY speak to a consultant IF you have a MTN number! Seriously? Why should it be so difficult to join? Anyone else think I dodged a bullet and would have gotten equally **** service going forward? </p>
