horror at mtn

I had a contract with mtn ( ********** ) for 2 years paying R679 per month, my phone was ****** on the 5th of May 2016, i reported on the 6th May 2016 and i spoke to Palesa, she blacklisted the phone and blocked the sim. To my suprise i received the invoice stating that i owe R3599.87, invoice date 26 May 2016. I then called mtn on the 2nd of June 2016 i spoke to Dinelle and enquired about the invoice, she then said she'll do validation with ref number: ********** 36. on the 3rd June i called again and spoke to Sipho who said i'll receive the validation results within 3 to 5 working days Ref number: ********** 28. i called again on the 9th of June i spoke to Latoya who reffered me to the relavant department ref number: req ********** . 22 June i spoke to Themba ref number : ********** 78, he promised to call back before end of business day, he mentioned that he wanted to check if the phone was used **********ly or not, if not they will refund me. he never called. on this date 6 July 2016 i called and spoke to Lebogang Kekana ref number: ********** 78 he said the charges occured before the phone was ******. Now am wondering how am i going to survive the month because mtn has deducted R5640.97 on the 1st of July. I waited long enough since the 22nd of June for the response regarding this whole matter. I've been receiving the following emails from mtn, which i know nothing about:

From: ********** /> Date: 5/6/2016 11:04:01 AM
To: ********** /> Subject: cancellation request

Good Day
Please assist Ms Anathi Msolo as she would like to migrate from contract to prepaid,

Msisdn: ********** 242

Term date: 2018-04-22

Airtime value: 0.00

Advised sub about airtime loss: Y

Alt contact:

Kind regards,

Lungile Shezi

From: Retentions ********** /> Date: Tue, May 10, 2016 at 9:44 AM
Subject: Re: cancellation request [# ********** 9]
To: **********
Good day Virginia,

Thank you for your mail.

We would like to retain your business, please advise what can we do to make a difference Or retain your business. I want to be informed about Ms Anathi Msolo who was mentioned in the letter below,

as to how she is connected to my cell phone number( 083 ********** ), she requested to migrate from contract to pre-paid and my number was the one mentioned on the letter/e-mail.

To let you know, I am now experiencing a huge bill on my account that I don’t know how it came to that amount. My daughter who is using this number will not even do that kind of a thing. If for that matter you can look back on this number for the past two years, nothing of this kind have ever happened. The first thing that came to my mind is that this, Ms Msolo thing, could be the result of everything that is now happening. My apology if what I am thinking is wrong.

I will be very much pleased if I can be assisted with this matter as it is giving me sleepless nights.

Kind regards,

From: Retentions **********
Sent: 11 May 2016 11:56 AM
To: Moalosi, Kefentse (GPDID)
Subject: Re: FW: cancellation request [# ********** 9]

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for your continued support.

This email serves as acknowledgement of your request.
