Hitting my head against a brick wall with MTN and my phone repair.

<p>I bought my LG 70 phone on contract in April 2015. It started getting an error message saying the file/download manager could not be accessed about a month ago. It was impossible to get this error off the screen. I took in my phone, contract and box into the Pinelands branch in Cape Town and they sent it off for repairs. I haven't had any feedback from Pinelands and I have to keep going into the shop myself to find out what is happening. I am also 37 weeks pregnant so this is not ideal! I collected my phone yesterday , thinking it had been fixed but after getting home I found out this was not the case. (They were unable to check the phone out at the store before I went away as the battery was dead and they had no chargers....) I called the Pinelands branch this morning and Gershwin said that my phone has been sent off the to service centre 3 times but it keeps being returned as apparently the IMEI code is not matching on the box and on my phone. I have no idea why this would be, it's not the customer's job to ensure that these numbers are matching. This should have been checked by the MTN consultant when I bought the phone last year. I am at my wits end and I need to have this sorted asap. Gershwin suggested I visit the Canal Walk service centre and see if I had any joy there. I will be giving birth soon and I'm not going to have time to spend hours visiting MTN stores. Please can someone contact me urgently.</p>

After comparing the IMEI code on the box and phone, one can see it is the same number. I can't understand what the problem is. Jocelyn
