High Content Service Charges without my consent, and nothing done about it

Hi its me again

I just received an MTN bill for R1684. I was only meant to get charged R289, but I have again been overcharged, this time by R1400. Each month I get over charged by about R1500 for Content Services that I never agreed to, and have blocked on several occasions. Each time I call MTN customer services, I get someone on the phone who cannot help, but who sometimes escalates the problem, and then no one ever gets back to me. Then each month I get over charged again, and the whole thing continues, and its
been over a year now.

I blocked all content service charges that were linked to my number: 083 ********** , and I even suspended my number ********** in order to stop all Content Service charges. I paid R250 to do a number swap and a sim swap in an attempt to have no links to that number ********** . But since doing this over a month ago, I have had no MTN service. The new number never came live, which according to MTN Customer Service, is because the new SIM was never activated. No one is able to activate it however, and I have been told I need to go back to the store. This isn’t so easy because its a 5 hour drive from where I live, but I did this, filled in more paperwork, but still its not activated. I then got hold of a supervisor on the phone (Horatio) who said I had to email him more paperwork (copies of my ID etc), and he promised to come back to me. But he didn’t, and no one seems to know where he works (even though he told me it was Vincent in East
London). Then I got another MTN supervisor (Jason) who has been the most
helpful person so far, but he seems unable to solve the problem alone, and
in his last email he said I should be able to do a SIM swap, but “the
service is not allowing him to, and he is awaiting feedback”. I have been
assured that since the old number is suspended, that I cannot get charged.
Yet I just got charged!
