Hello Peter is the only way to get a reaction out of MTN

On 13 January 2017 I signed up for two MTN contracts via the MTN Direct line. It was a Friyay special which included 50Gb and 10,000 MTN to MTN minutes a month free. After numerous times that I tried to contact them (see previous review here https://www.hellopeter.com/mtn/reviews/mtn-leaving-me-without-a-phone- ********** ) with no real help from their side and my number being cut off, I finally received my new phone and sim cards on about 7 or 8 February.

I did however not receive the extra data and minutes on one of the contracts. Alice van der Merwe who followed up on my HelloPeter review assure me on the 8th of February that they would investigate. Since then I have rep**** to here comment, trying to find out why I have still not received it on both Feb 16 and March 9.

The shops say they can't help me and when I phoned MTN customer care they told me that they couldn't help since they don't have my contract on their system...WHAT?! One lady said she will sms me her e-mail address so that I could forward my contract and then she might be able to help. This was last week Monday already and still no sms...

It really seems like the only way to get any real help from MTN is by writing a complain on Hello Peter.

Before MTN I have been a Cell C customer for many years, and I can assure readers that I never had any issues like this with Cell C! This was a frustrating move to MTN!

The issue was sorted out, and both my numbers have been activated on the promotional data and minutes.
Thanks
