Has MTN Read the Retirement Act

I left MTN on 27 May and have struggled to get them to pay over my fund credit to Allan Gray. The reason they have given is that I won't use a broker and pay the fees of the broker.

They don't understand that the mandatory use of a financial planner is a product design issue rather than a legislative requirement and therefor they can waive this requirement.

If they're not prepared to waive this requirement, then they must give me the legal basis why they're not prepared to consider my request.

Alternatively I am happy to have a planner but I'm not prepared to pay the advice fee so either MTN or the AFRF must pay the fee.

What's interesting is that MTN is insisting on me nominating a broker. As you know, there is no employer relationship needed in preservation funds any more. So I'm not sure why are being so obstructive unless of course, they are not aware of this.

I also need to know who is footing the bill for the investment return I've missed out on while everybody insisting on admin nonsense! I first submitted my withdrawal form on 27 May 2016 and 5 months later nothing has happened.

Very disappointing
