Harassment from MTN

Mtn is harassing me regarding the payment which I honoured long time ago. They have even locked my number regardless of the many request made they failed to reinstate my number. Today they send me a letter of the outstanding amount which I have already settled. I have exhausted many avenues to get my number reconnected and use it as a prepaid but to no avail.
