Gross Negligence & Subscription *****

It would seem clients are ignored and computer responses are all you get on Hello Peter... No won gets taken seriously. So i will make sure my lawyer sorts this out...i cannot believe that a client would be left to struggle on their own while funds are being taken from their account. Below was the complaint i placed, i got a computer reply using Willem Jnr Loots as a complaints Manager but i have revived no reply after several email were sent to him. This falls under gross negligence along with subscription *****, at least i have a name to point my lawyer at, if this person even exists.

Sent 25th May 2018 My wife has a MTN contract and we are running into a subscription issue. Everyday for the last week she has been getting an sms stating that she has successfully subscribed to different MTN dating and gaming services, this happens without her doing so. We have contacted two different MTN shops but to no avail, we have spoken to MTN customer support but they cannot assist us, we had MTN technical services put a subscription block on the number but the subscriptions are still going off the phone, we cancel the service immediately but it has unfortunately taken the R5 per day fee off her account by this time. We are not getting any assistance in this matter and if you are unable to assist us I will have to open a case of Subscription ***** with the SA police services and let my lawyer take care of this for me because I have run out of patience and suffered enough bad client service support, it would seem the client is left to take care of these problems on their own. MTN Ref No # ********** 63 Zero Response from Twitter feeds and zero response from Mike Ramaboka, i sent emails on the 23rd of May, they went to ********** and ********** and ********** It looks like there is an epidemic with this kind of problem, i counted multiple twitter complaints of the same nature, is there a hacker problem? are our account and personal account information at risk? Does MTN have a security breach?

Hi Alice, Unfortunate the phone is a business phone that my wife uses and the only app on the phone is Whatsapp, these subscriptions apply themselves, without any action from our side. Its unfortunate that MTN would say they are not responsible, MTN uses these companies as a service provider and incorporates their functionality through their USSD interface. The worst part of this problem is that the R5 subscription fee is subtracted instantly, cancelling the service only stops further funds from being removed. The subscriptions occur regularly and with every instance they take R5, again we do not click on any pop-up adverts(there are non), we do not use Dating sites, or games sites, the phone is strictly business orientated. This indicates that the third party that MTN uses is able to force subscription application, on twitter there are several instances of client complaint connecting my problem and theirs. The collection of consumer funds without their say so is a violation of section 31 of the Consumer Rights bill. How does MTN ensure their client is safe from such occurrences and perpetual *****, even if it is a third party, MTN sanctions the use of their network, allowing these third party companies to do as they please, implication by association.
