Gross incompetence
I dropped my phone off at MTN Hyper by the sea for a warranty assessment/repairs on the 20th of February after the Andriod Lollipop update turned it into a brick. I was told by the store that it would take two weeks for the repair to be executed. I then patiently waited a week and a half before starting to follow up. At this point I was told that my phone was with the HVRC and would be returned repaired shortly. I have since followed up every second day, requesting that Nirvashen follow up on the issue. I was told time and time again that he had followed up with the HVRC and that repairs were in progress. I eventually followed up with the HVRC myself, only to learn that they only received the phone on the 6th of March. Today after nearly a month I was told that the phone was returned to the store 'cause of a problem with the paperwork. I was told to wait for two weeks while the process was restarted. This is unacceptable, not only did the staff lie to me about following up, I have now been double inconvenienced and will have been without a phone for at least a month and a half by the time this is rectified if all goes well. I will never buy another MTN phone.
