Going against Consumer Act

We ordered a lenova yoga tablet a month ago, MTN kept promising they don't have stock and will order. We had to fight endless to get anything eventually we had to take another tablet. THey refuse to give any compensation now that we have to pay extra R50 a month or the wait. THe tablet was for my wife to use for teaching. Seems MTN doesn't care at all about education. They don't care to about that we didn't have to wait. Just nothing. We ended taking a tablet that we didn't really want. I think it is so bad for MTN not to care about education and equipping teachers.

Hello stian,

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused and for the delayed response to your post.

We've read your post and taken your concerns in consideration. We can assure that MTN does take interest in the education of our future generation.

Education is one of the MTN SA Foundation?s four main portfolios. We focus on improving information and communication technology (ICT), connectivity in rural schools, building educator capacity in maths, science and languages, supporting existing science centres, building tele-teaching aids and skills amongst educators and learners and making infrastructure improvements in schools.

We've taken into consideration that you opted for a different tablet due to the one you originally wanted not being in stock. We have decided to credit your account with 50% (R600.00) of the total additional amount of R1200.00.

Once again we do apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Regards
Tim
