Giving Misleading Information and Poor Customer Service

<p>I am appalled and disappointed with MTN Shop 154 in East Rand Mall.</p> <p> </p> <p>It has been over a number of years that continuously I have turned to MTN as my only option remaining for a service provider, and yet in light of the fact that the cellular provider should have potential business falling into its lap - there is consistently a hickup or their branch consultants are some of the most unwilling and most unprofessional personnel I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. To the point that I am not just appalled, but disgusted.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have been anxiously searching for an Apple Macbook laptop to pay off over a period of time on a data plan, which I intend to use for business . MTN at the time was the most logical choice as no other service provider had similar data contract options available. I had a similar model years before, which was also bought via an MTN data plan and there was no problem with credit checks in the past. The contract was paid up with insurance for the full period, without a hitch. As fate would have it, my laptop packed up due to a power surge and as such I am in dire need of a new one. <br /><br /></p> <p> </p> <p>Now, according to the service provider they cannot provide me with what I want as they cannot approve the contract without a certain amount of quote unquote "raised credit limit."</p> <p> </p> <p>This in my opinion is complete hogwash - why does a credit limit come into play when a new line has not even been activated for a new contract. That being said, I'm more than creditworthy and I have had no form of financial default and I have never been under debt review. So in short - MTN simply doesn't need my business.</p> <p> </p> <p>It is with my deepest regret that I will never support MTN again, if this is to be the standard business practice that the staff should conduct.</p> <p> </p> <p>I do not seek any recompense, but rather consumer awareness that MTN is both a misleading and hypocritical cellular provider. Evidently so more and more each day.</p> <p> </p>
