Getting cheated

Yesterday, I went to do an upgrade only to be informed that you've changed the way you this in order to protect your business from losing money. I was told I needed to pay the reminder of my contract was amounted to nearly a R1000 in order to do an early upgrade but I will lose all the benefit of my previous contract. How come you want me to pay for a service you will not render me. If I pay the R1000, I should be getting the total balance of my benefits for the remainder of my contract.
