Funds taken from my bank when I don't have MTN contract anymore
I settled and closed all my MTN contracts in mid-October 2019, however, funds kept on being deducted from my bank account. I don't have access to my online login anymore, due to a phone number change, and thus requested email statements and clarification several times, but have had NO response.
The events were as follows: 1 December - requested an emailed account statement - NO response 15 December - requested response on previous email - NO response 31 December - informed them that all my accounts / contracts had been settled and closed in mid-October already, but need closure on amount of over R3000 taken from my account 1 November 1 Jan 2020 - further funds were taken from my bank account and I emailed again to ask for clarity on funds being taken from my bank account when ALL contracts were settled and closed in October already.
Email sent on 1 Jan follows: "Please provide me with an emailed pdf statement for this account for the last 3 months. I don't have access to the number *** any more and can't receive an OTP to log in to my account.
I settled all three my contracts with MTN in full on Thursday 12 October 2019 I closed my contracts with MTN on Monday 16 October October 2019 I was on a pay-as-you-go with *** since Tuesday 17 October I removed my MTN sim card from my phone on 1 November 2019
What I would like to know is... If my contract is settled and closed I should not be able to use any MTN services without buying it first, correct? Isn't that what a pay-as-you-go arrangement is?
Having settled and closed my contract should stop all access you have to my bank account, correct?
What I really want to know is why an amount of R3133.71 has been deducted from my bank account on 1 Dec and an amount of R210 on 31 December, when I don't have a contract with MTN any more?"
