from hero to zero..

Good day, we have been customers of MTN SP for over 10 years. my husband works for himself and over the 10 years we have paid late a few times, but never not paid. so yes, we have had minot quabbles with MTN but nothing major.

So last year there was a strike at MTN and from there things got really bad.

we have 4 lines, 2 voice and 2 data lines. the voice lines were sorted as my husband needed open line and our daughter needed closed so as not to abuse the talking. both the data lines were taken as closed and over the years this has been in operation even when upgrading. from the beginning of this year, 2016, the phone nightmare started. even as my husband had made arrangement to pay by the 15th every month, we have been going through cut offs on a weekly basis. and to crown all, all of a sudden, our data line started hacing R5000-00 and more costs per month. weird, is it noe? after almost 10 years of using the data line, and once in a while asking for some extra data to be loaded when ours was finished they now claim it is an open line... only from Feb this year??? many reference numbers later the problem is still there, we cannot upgrade and no final result. yes, they show us the data usage ona spread sheet and the statements from February onwars.. but still, we never had an open data line... so what now??? Regards, Antonie and Hannah Nortje.

Thank you for your post.

We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it has caused.

The system shows that the data line ******2554 is on the MTN Broadband 2GB open contract since it was upgraded. The 2GB bundle monthly provisioning was used up and you were charged on the out of bundle rate of R 0.87 excluding VAT for the invoice dated 2016-03-20 to 2016-05-20. The invoices have been validated to be correct by the billing department.

Rest assured, it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you and to restore your faith in us.

Regards,

Ayanda
