********** upgrade and pathetic service!!!
An upgrade was done on the 22/05/2019 to my line without my consent. I have no idea where your agent called Mapitso Skhosana got the authority to go ahead and upgrade my line without my consent. There was no Authentication done whatsoever! I will not be paying for something I do not have. Last I spoke to the particular agent I was to google the colour of the phone in question and that was the last of it so I don’t understand where she gets the right to perform this upgrade. Prior to this I did strictly request to be contacted before any upgrade is performed but NO, this is the problem with doing things online! I’m now faced with this unnecessary dilemma. I should have just gone to the store instead. I called MTN customer service about 3 times on the same day to ensure this line is cancelled immediately and was taken from pillar to post. I then eventually sent them an email and received feedback that when the courier calls to confirm my address I should decline the package and avoid it being delivered to me and in that way they will only be able to cancel this ********** upgrade. The courier company DVS called me the following day 23/05/2019 to confirm the address for delivery. I did clearly state I do not want the package and it should be taken back to the agent who called. Now it’s more than a week and this upgrade is still not canceled!!! I will not be paying for this upgrade at all as it was done **********ly I didn’t receive any OTP and did what the call center agents told me to do by not accepting the package at all. It’s totally pathetic that I have to wait so long for this to be done!! I want my benefits which I had on my current phone reinstated back as well as the package I was on to continue till I decide to upgrade!! I need this sorted out ASAP or else I will be taking this up with the National consumer commission as this not fair business practice. This is the worst service by far I’ve received from a reputable company such as MTN!!!! This is the type of behavior you allow your agents to do!!!
