********** PORTING OF CELL NUMBER

MY Cell number was Ported to MTN without my Knowledge , i received an SMS about 17:35 on my cell stating porting your number is ready to be processed BUT I had not requested this and was at owrk the entire day , i have my directors and co workers to confirm where i was , my car has a tracker as well to confirm i was at work ,

Is there no verification process for this process , for example checking ID , Adress provided , work details , personal details

this is the second time this year it has happened , i tried to call the MTN Customer service and no luck , called cell c my current service provider and their porting department closes at 6
