********** contracts in my name

I last had an MTN Contract over 10 years ago.
I left the network because of bad customer service and it looks like customer service is still non existent.

On 26 September I had an amount debited off my bank account. The reference was for MTN. I do not have any MTN contract.

I contacted MTN through their Facebook page and they advised that I get an affidavit and certified ID's and email the documents to the customer service email.

I did this one Tuesday 11 October and received a reference email.

Wednesday afternoon I had no reply so called the customer service number. I spoke to a dineo and she said she'd block the SIM and would escalate to the ***** department. I received another reference number. She also advised that it could take up to 48 hours before getting a reply to my email I sent the day before.

I then went the Twitter route and when they rep**** I was told to send info again but the email address bounced back.

On the Friday, still no response from the email or from my call to customer care. I then resorted to HelloPeter. I received a reply on the Monday from a Yahya and was told to "fax" the documents I had emailed. I rep**** saying I don't have access to a fax machine and can she please send an alternative email or a contact number. No response has been received to date.

Last week I went back to the Facebook route and then got a contact number to call for *****. I called this number only to be told this number is only for MTN employees and to please call customer care.

Thursday 20 October I call customer service again and was on the phone for over half an hour. I was told that this would be escalated to his supervisor and that she would call me the next day. I left my contact details. I have heard nothing.

Today another debit from MTN has come off my account and it is a different amount and a different reference, so I assume it is a second contract that has **********ly been taken out in my name.

I want to know where these contracts were taken out and I want to see copies of the documents that were used.
If this is not taken seriously I will be left with no choice but to take legal action.
I expect a response by Wednesday, 26 October before 1pm.

Hi Alice

Please can you call me. The email I sent is giving a delivery failure notice and I don't have an number for you. The one you called from must be an internal one as it doesn't work when I call that number.
