********** Contract Still Not Resolved
I have had someone **********ly opening a contract under my name. After reversing debit orders for 2 months I was advised at the bank to contact MTN, which I did. I was requested to send a copy of my ID as well as to write an affidavit at Police Station. I did all of that and emailed the documents to an MTN consultant by the name of Phindile Monyai on 29 May 2018. She acknowledged the receipt of documents and gave me the following reference: Trouble Ticket#: 1- ********** 5096. From then on I heard nothing from MTN. Now to my surprise I am now being harassed by a company called MBD about an amount that is more than R11 000 that I owe MTN. Let me state this categorically clear that in my life I never had any contract with MTN. In fact, more than just resolving my case, I want MTN to go further and investigate how these ********** are getting contracts under our names when we didn't even lose our IDs. If the contract was taken over the counter, then MTN should check for CCTV footage of that store. If over the phone, please review the tapes because fortunately I just happen to have one of the most distinct and unique voices on the planet.
