I received a phone call on 20th November 2015 from a debt recovery agency, to say that I have an MTN account which is overdue, I DON'T HAVE AN MTN ACCOUNT or so i thought... After investigating it so happens that there are 8 numbers on my ID#, with an outstanding bill of R58000.00 racked up in 2 months!!! THE ACCOUNT OPENED **********LY ON MY ID#. The person who opened the account has an address of 10 Lovely Road, Brackenfell in the Western Cape (guess what Lovely Road does not exist in South Africa). I have tried contacting someone at MTN in the legal department but do you think that is easy - it is easier to pull my bottom lip over my head. My credit rating (Trans Union) has gone from Excellent in January to FAIR - one level away from POOR - THANK-YOU MTN. <br> Could someone contact me so that I can get information, as the debt recovery company is just as.... - and keeps sending me threatening SMS's - i would like to see all the paperwork linked to this deal, and just how legitimately it was opened, and who will be made accountable - RICA AND FICA I ask???. <br> GOD help MTN if I need to apply for credit and it is refused...PLEASE CALL ME I NEED HELP TO SORT THIS OUT but will YOU???
