***** Investigaion - Not investigated at all after more than 2 months of logging the incident

During the end of January 2017 i realised that MTN had not debited my account as per norm. i then decided to call them and they told me that i had changed my method of payment on 16 Dec 2016 according to their records and that is around the same time i took a device upgrade, i then told them that i was not responsible for the above mentioned action and what was odd is that on the 24th of Dec they had debited as per norm. i then requested for a ***** Log to be made and they told me to send an Affidavit and copy of my ID for the ***** call. I made payments arrangement for that month and they debited as per norm few days later.

I then called MTN on Feb to follow up on the ***** log call only for another call centre consultant to tell me that the first log was not successful, and MTN did not even bother to inform me about this , each time I call in i have to explain the story from the beginning and another reason for calling was the fact that the contract number had been barred and it wasn’t working that is how i came to know that no progress had been done on this incident. i then arranged a payment method and again sent in my affidavit again and i received a reference ********** for the ***** investigation and i was asked to follow up within 15 days.

on the 15th march 2017 i then called again only to find out that the previous log they had made to their ***** department had expired and when i asked them what it means they tell me that it meant it was attended to , and no one bothered to inform me what was happening. I then had to email my affidavit again to get another reference REQ ********** which they say they are putting another log , and in the meantime i have to pay the outstanding amount inclusive of the ********** amount of over R400 which i know nothing about.

this whole thing is taxing emotionally and it seems to me like to MTN it is not a priority for them to help me.
