Frastruated

I took a contract phone with mtn which lpsed after 24 months. My contract was renewed from month to month without my consent. I contacted mtn to cancel my subscription and it I was advised to pay certain amount which I did pay but my contract subscription was still not cancelled. I called mtn again I was told that they unable to cancel without me not being deceased . My call was transferred to ***** department but still no resolution
