Formal Complaint Regarding Misinformation and Unauthorised Charges. BE FAIR!

Dear MTN Customer Service, I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding the misleading information I received when signing up for a month-to-month contract with MTN. At the time of purchase, the product was presented in a very convincing manner, with no mention of the additional charges that later appeared on my invoice. These unexpected costs were not disclosed upfront, and when I queried them, I was told they were “due” without any prior explanation or documentation. This lack of transparency is deeply concerning and feels deceptive. While I acknowledge that MTN offers great products, I am extremely disappointed with the way this matter has been handled. It is unacceptable for customers to be misled during the sales process and then burdened with hidden fees after the fact. This practice undermines trust and reflects poorly on your commitment to customer service. I request a full explanation of the charges app**** to my account, and I urge MTN to take immediate steps to ensure that all product information is communicated clearly and honestly going forward. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution of this matter

Reviewer Update
I acquired a product on 31 October 2025, with a clear understanding that the monthly cost would be R545. I was charged R703.23 upfront in October — which I accepted, assuming it covered the first month. However, to my shock, I have now been billed again for December 2025 services on 4 November, despite having used the product for less than a week. And yet I’m being charged again for December?
This is completely unacceptable. It makes absolutely no sense to be charged twice — especially for a service I have barely used. At no point during the sales process was this additional billing explained. This feels like a deliberate attempt to mislead customers and extract money under false pretenses.
I demand a full explanation and immediate correction of this billing. I also expect MTN to take accountability for the lack of transparency in how these contracts are presented and billed.
