Forget Nigeria, MTN is fleecing its SA customers as well

It's a pity that there isn't a -1 star rating on this site because MTN SP surely deserves one.

I have been a loyal customer for a number of years.

In 2013, I upgraded my contract. The consultant at the time **** about my data bundle. As such in 2014, I was left with a huge bill. On investigation, it was discovered that MTN was not allocating purchased data bundles to my account. MTN investigated the matter and I received a refund but no explanation as to how they were de*****ing me.

Fast track two years and I am in the same situation again. Every time my bundle is depleted I purchase more. I have a limit on my account so am fully aware of how much I spend. Yet for the past three months, I am getting billed out of data bundle costs.

I have called and written to MTN asking for an investigation and have got no response. Instead I have to pay these exhorbitant bills. If i don't pay, my line is suspended.

So, once again I have fallen foul to dubious billing practices from MTN SP.

I am sure I am not the only one. If it hadn't been for the fact that I am contractually bound, I would cancel my contract. If I had the money, I would take them to court and expose this.

Given MTN's history of improper business practices in Nigeria, I am certain that I am not the only one that is falling prey to its devious billing methods. Shame on you.

this is ridiculous. I load a bundle every time it expires and I check my available data.

I want proof
